This department is posed with the main objectives to train the students by delivering knowledge in constructions mostly based on hands-on skills. It comprises 4 programs like: Building and Construction Engineering (BCE), Transportation and Urban Planning Engineering (TUPE), Topographical Survey Engineering (TSE) and Quantity Survey Engineering (QSE). It has in addition the workshops and Laboratories to facilitate the above knowledge acquisition to our students. This department counts for the evening and day session students. It participates much to easy the construction technology skills delivery to students with short period in the Vocational Training Center

  1. Building and Construction Engineering Program (BCE)

This program is a professional discipline that deals with the designing, planning, construction, and management of infrastructures such as roads, tunnels, bridges, airports, railroads, facilities, buildings, dams, and utilities. It is designed for the students who wish to get the hands-on based skills in the disciplines above described.

  1. Transportation and Urban Planning Engineering (TUPE)

Transportation and Urban Planning engineering is the application of technology and scientific principles to the planning, functional design, operation and management of facilities for any mode of transportation and urbanization, in order to provide for the safe, efficient, rapid, comfortable, convenient, economical, and environmentally compatible movement of people and goods. This is program brings you the knowledge and hands-on skills to enable the student field conducting his/her activities in urbanization and transportation engineering.

  1. Topographical Survey Engineering (TSE)

This is a program designed to enable the student to locate natural and man-made features on a particular parcel of land. It indicates the plan-metric features or things you can see from a plan view as if you were hovering over the site. Topographic survey Engineering is usually carried out in order to instruct the student how to have an accurate record of the existing conditions of a parcel of land that is about to undergo some type of construction activity.

  1. Quantity Survey Engineering (QSE).

The Program outcome is to educate the Quantity Surveyors specialized in managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects such as road, rail ways, bridge, dams etc.…Constructions, from the initial calculations to the final figures.

Existing Facilities to enable the skills acquisition to our students for all the above listed programs:

Civil Engineering Laboratories and Workshops:

  • Soil Mechanics Laboratory

  • Masonry Workshop

  • Carpentry Workshop

  • Welding Workshop

  • Plumbing Workshop
